When visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast areas, you have a lot of attractions to explore and take in during your stay. In today's age, reservations and tickets are often needed beforehand to help manage crowds and keep locations organized. One way to easily organize your vacation and receive admission to multiple attractions is with the Gulf Coast Attraction Pass.
The digital pass features multiple tourist attractions that have teamed up to provide a convenient way to visit locations. Follow this guide to learn about the attraction pass and how the pass works during your vacation.
What Types of Passes Are Available?
The pass system is set up based on the number of days you need a pass for. For example, you could purchase a one-day, two-day, or three-day pass. When you purchase the pass, you have 90 days to officially activate the pass. The best time to activate the pass is on the first morning of your vacation so you can venture out and explore right away.
The day passes include all of the locations available, but with only one admission per pass. This means if you travel with multiple people, each person would need their own pass. You also cannot visit a location and return to the same location later in the day. If you purchased a two-day pass, then you could go back to a repeat location on the second day.
What Locations Can You Visit With The Pass?
The Mississippi Gulf Coast attraction pass includes ten different attractions. Some of the main attractions include the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, the Pascagoula River Audubon Center, the Mississippi Aquarium, and the Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum.
Each location showcases a rich history of the area and they are all family-friendly. Some are within walking distance of each other, while with others you may be better off with some form of transportation.
If you have an interest in just a couple of the locations, then you have the option to build your own pass by selecting these individual locations. The value for the pass does decrease though. If you want to see at least three of the attractions, then you are better off purchasing the full pass. You do not need to visit every location.
How Do You Access the Pass?
When you purchase a Gulf Coast attraction pass, everything is done digitally. Unlike other tourist destinations that require an app download, the Gulf Coast attraction pass is done through your email or a text message. You will receive a secure link and can access the file straight from your phone.
When you arrive at one of the locations, the ticket gate will scan your pass and grant you admission to the attraction. The process is easy and you do not have to worry about printing out a pass or connecting to Wi-Fi to access an account. Once you load the pass on your phone, it will save directly to the device.
Is There A Free or Discounted Pass?
If you are vacationing on a budget, then you can look into the alternate Mississippi Gulf Coast free pass. A free pass includes admission to some of the free attractions in the area. The options include the Alice Moseley Folk Art & Antique Museum, the Bay St. Louis Mardi Gras Museum & Historic L&N Train Depot, and the Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum.
The free pass may include extra perks like gift shop discounts as well. The free pass download works the same as the other passes and is accessed directly from your phone.
